In the past several years more than fifty of Lynn Hoggard’s poems have appeared in peer-reviewed journals across the U.S. Her books include three translations, a memoir, Motherland: Stories and Poems from Louisiana (Lamar University Press, 2014), and a poetry collection, Bushwhacking Home (TCU Press, 2017). She is also a past president of the American Literary Translators Association. Her translation from the French of Marie d’Agoult’s Nelida was awarded the Texas Institute of Letters Soeurette Diehl Fraser award for best translation in 2003.
