Julie Wise is an assistant professor of English at the University of South Carolina Aiken. Her research and teaching interests focus on Victorian poetry, poetics, aesthetics, gender, and culture. She has published several articles on Victorian women’s poetry, and is currently developing a book project on late-Victorian women’s poetry. Julie has also worked in the past as an editor, at Victorian Studies and The Concord Saunterer. She earned her PhD and her MA from Indiana University, where she focused on Victorian studies, and her BA from the University of Michigan. Before arriving at USCA, she had taught at USC Columbia and Allen University.
