James Piatt is a retired educator who lives with his wife Sandy in Santa Ynez, California in a replica 1800s eastern farmhouse. They have an old cat named Barny, and a new pup called Scout who is chewing up everything in sight. He has had several poems nominated for both Pushcart and Best of Web awards, and he has had three collections of poetry published: “The Silent Pond” (2012), “Ancient Rhythms” (2014), and “Light” (2016). His books are available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. He earned his BS and MA from California State Polytechnic University, and his doctorate from BYU.
