Eva Skrande

Eva Skrande’s poems have appeared or are forthcoming in APR, Agni, The Iowa Review, Alaska Quarterly, Ploughshares, and many others. Her book, My Mother’s Cuba, was published as part of the River City Poetry Series (River City Publishing) and her chapbook, The Gates of the Somnambulist, was published by Jeanne Duval Editions. She is the winner of a City of Houston Artists grant. She has also been a Pushcart nominee and a finalist in many book competitions including The Juniper Prize and The National Poetry Series. Most recently, she was a finalist in The Texas Review Press’ X.J. Kennedy Poetry Prize competition. She lives and teaches in Houston, Texas.
